While I was trawling through the multitude of sites on the Internet related to Raleigh literature, I found this catalogue. I believe it is from 1982. I know, I lead an exciting life!!

The inside cover image clearly shows an image of Jan Raas taking part in the SKOL 6 Day event in London in 1978. This image featured in my initial post about this frame. The rest of the catalogue focuses more on the models that were available from the newly opened ‘Lightweight Unit’ at Nottingham. This unit opened in late 1981 following the closure of the original works at Worksop. Raleigh models built at Worksop could be identified with a serial number starting with ‘W’ – this notation and method of numbering continued following the closure and move to Nottingham. The SBDU wasn’t affected by this move and continued production at Ilkeston using the ‘SB’ frame number prefix.
Here is the rest of that catalogue with a nice feature of the Jan Raas frame on the TI Reynolds page.

This catalogue features the “Team Replica” – the replica model of my own TI-Raleigh Team Pro 753 SBDU frame, SB4059…

So, it’s not my normal type of post, but still hopefully an interesting read. With all the unqualified information floating around the internet, it is nice to find complete and first hand information direct from the manufacturer.
Do you know what gb bars and stems the Raleigh weinmann team bikes had please sir.
Hi Iain
