How do I even start to describe myself…?
I’m not a bike nerd or a bike tech guru. But… you’ll often find me squeezing in a bike ride. I do love bikes, I love fixing them, I love talking about them and love riding them. Bikes are just my ‘thing’! The neon sign in the picture “It’s all about the bike” sums up my life perfectly!
My own business, Denton Cycles, provides a huge variety of jobs, allowing me to indulge in everything about bikes. On any day, I can be repairing, refurbishing, training or running an event. I can go from rebuilding a 1950s vintage bike in the morning, to checking semi wireless Di2 issues on a mobile app in the afternoon.

Every day is a BIKE day!
I could be indoors in a workshop or outdoors in the sunshine; working on my own or with others. Whatever I’m doing, I’m forever happy stood next to my trusty workstand, fixing bikes and maybe talking abit too much about bikes.
Oh, and I should mention, I’ve been doing this bike fixing thing professionally since 1988! I know, that makes me old, but with my old age comes experience and confidence.
My 36+ years in the bike industry gives me a wealth of knowledge, unrivalled by so many. And I warn you now, you won’t be able to stop me talking once I start!

I have always struggled to refit my rear wheel and wanted someone to go through the process with me until I could refit the rear wheel on my electric mountain bike confidently. I contacted Neil and arranged a 1:1. He was excellent. Neil went through the whole process, taking his time and listening to my needs. I also ended up asking Neil lots of other things and he was extremely helpful. Neil was able to offer lots of advice to make it easier for me and I now understand what I was doing wrong. Neils hints and tips were a godsend. The outcome is that I can refit the rear wheel myself. Just what I wanted to learn. Thanks Neil and I highly recommend you.

I like to ride my bike
I like to squeeze in a bike ride (or two) whenever I can. You’ll often find me riding through the quiet lanes of Northumberland, getting in some miles, using the time to clear my head.
If the weather is just too bad to be on the road, I’ll hop on the indoor trainer and see what virtual route takes my fancy!
